Mantra Lorne is tastefully built around the oldest permanently operating guesthouse in Victoria (Erskine House) and is inextricably interwoven with the history of Lorne itself.

Amidst 12 acres of lush heritage-listed gardens, Mantra is Lorne's only absolute beachfront property and one of the largest residential conference destinations in regional Victoria.  The property is on Main Street, walking distance to a wide choice of restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping - less than an hour's drive from Avalon Airport and 2 hours from Melbourne, at the gateway of the Great Ocean Road. 

There are extensive conference and event facilities, plus the family friendly 144 Degrees Brasserie & Lounge Bar with open fire, a Day Spa, fully equipped gymnasium, heated indoor pool and spa, male and female steam rooms, 4 tennis courts (2 grass/2 synthetic), beach volleyball, croquet and an 18-hole putting green, plus access to Lorne Bowls Club.

With a selection of 246 stylishly appointed studio, 1 and 2 bedroom Apartments plus 32 Heritage hotel rooms embellishing 'old world charm', Mantra caters for families, couples and conferences (550 total beds). Apartments are self-contained, with kitchen/laundry facilities, reverse cycle air conditioning, private balcony and VCR or DVD players. Studio 'Resort Rooms' can be configured to interconnect with 1 Bedroom Apartments, creating dual-keyed, 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment as required. There are a range of outlooks including filtered ocean or garden views, and many offer spa baths.

The Convention Centre provides a total of 448sqm floor space with 4.9m ceilings - a pillarless, purpose-built room is suitable for up to 550 guests theatre. The Convention Centre also has its own dedicated pre-function space opening onto a private outdoor terrace. Private dining can be offered either within the within the Heritage Ballroom, or, in the Convention Centre. A number of smaller breakout options are also available if required.

REVIEW: Can't speak highly enough of the staff & the food (both quality & quantity) was excellent!

"Our four day conference at Mantra Lorne went exceedingly well. We always felt that the venue had things in hand and I can't speak highly enough of the staff and service. Nothing was ever too much trouble and staff were obliging and friendly. They bent over backwards to make sure our event was a success and we were impressed with their ability to cater to our requests at short notice (which were somewhat influenced by the weather).

The food - both quality and quantity - was excellent! We also found their onsite audiovisual supplier Myles Productions to be extremely helpful and accommodating. There are various accommodation options available and the rates are very reasonable, and include breakfast.

The venue is located right on the beach so the views are beautiful and our international delegates were so pleased to see one of regional Victoria’s treasures. The spaces were great for our sized plenary sessions and posters and I would recommend Mantra Lorne to anyone considering conferencing outside the CBD..."
