Novotel Wollongong Northbeach enjoys a superb beachfront location close to the city centre of Wollongong. Only one hour south of Sydney, the hotel is the ideal choice for business trips, holidays and short beachside breaks.

With two bars and a superb restaurant to enjoy, the hotel features an extensive range of business and leisure facilities, including a swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym. Car parking is available on site (charges apply) 

Novotel Wollongong Northbeach boasts 204 spacious accommodation rooms across a mix of Residential View, Ocean View, Ocean View Balcony Rooms and Beachfront Suites. All rooms are beautifully styled with modern furnishings, crisp white bed linen, comfortable beds, functional workspace, spacious bathrooms with bath facilities and oversized bath towels. Twin share rooms comprise two x double beds.

Novotel Wollongong’s newest beachfront venue, Pepes, boasts a nautical vibe wih a touch of elegance! PEPE’S on the beach offers a unique experience to their patrons. With large scale open windows and bi-fold doors making up the face of the venue it is easy to feel the sea breeze and take in the uninterrupted ocean views. The large scaled deck, a brand new addition to the previous venue is a key feature in the design and concept of the bar, it defines the cultural fabric they are trying to emulate – both Mediterranean and Australian lifestyles are all about relaxed, outdoor living and it is bought to you complete with bean bags, hanging chairs and beach views whilst being nestled among the palm trees. Pepes caters up to 250 people seated and 450 people for a cocktail event.

With the latest addition of a new retractable roof on their rooftop terrace The Deck, creating the ultimate all weather event venue and allowing you to take in 360 degree views from the ocean to the escarpment while still being protected from the elements.

Conferencing facilities at Novotel Wollongong Northbeach include 14 meeting rooms catering for 2-660 delegates and extensive pre-function areas with space for 40+ exhibition booths. All conference rooms share a dedicated floor and many of them with natural light and offering ocean and beach views.

REVIEW: ...impressed by the level of customer service from the very beginning!

"My first impression of Novotel Wollongong was made when I was invited to inspect the venue. A day prior to the site inspection I received a care package for my trip to the ‘gong’ as I”m not from the area. (The package was hand-delivered by staff containing coffee mug, water, chocolate, petrol voucher and other goodies for the trip) I was certainly impressed by the level of customer service from the very beginning.

Unfortunately the room that we wanted was not available as our Board meeting was to be held on a weekend and during a wedding expo! I was hesitant about using the venue on this day, but we had no issues at all with privacy or noise.

The Boardroom we used was great with big windows to let in the light and extra room to move. The service we received was fantastic and our executives wouldn’t have known there was an expo going on until they stepped out of their room.  They had privacy that they needed but were still close to other amenities. 

Would highly recommend this venue."

"As the sole conference organiser it was extremely important to me that the event ran smoothly, from the pre-planning to the onsite activities, and I was not disappointed. We received and experienced such wonderful service by all involved. All requests were actioned promptly (even the last minute ones).

I have received numerous comments from attendees regarding the high quality of food, that it wasn't as "heavy" as normal buffet breakfast & lunches are. Our 2 dinners were also well received with the food station evening getting many positive comments.

Mikaela from Staging Connections was wonderful - all the behind the scenes AV requirements ran extremely smoothly.

I had conducted a site visit at Novotel a few years ago and the accommodation rooms were the main reason for not booking this hotel for our conference, so was great to see that the accommodation rooms are now updated.

My only issue was that a different group was conferencing in the Norfolk Room and utilising the barista near our conference rooms. I had to come out and ask them to move on and not congregate outside our conference rooms as the noise level was quite high."

REVIEW: The team throughout the day always had a way to solve any problem...

"We chose this venue for a number of reason - location, facilities, past experiences and cost. The team throughout the day always had a way to solve any problem or question and all worked with a smile on their face. The catering in the Windjammers was excellent. Even those that did not like seafood still had plenty to choose from, which was great from an organisers point of view.

I would have preferred a package that was 'all inclusive', particularly in regards to the AV equipment, not as a seperate cost or invoice. Given we only had basic items, the cost was very high. I would have thought that these should be standard equipment at any conference venue."

REVIEW: We will be coming again!

"The table set-ups were perfect both for the meeting and the evening function - the transformation from a boardroom to a private dining room was amazing everything was stunning, even down to the table decorations - they were absolutely perfect!

Every little thing was taken care of throughout the day - the little touches like the lollies on the table and the 'bits and pieces box' were just perfect.

Everyone commented on how amazing the the food was at the dinner - the seafood was divine, as was the meat, and the custard was just like grandma would make, it really felt like a family Christmas. The quantity of food was also amazing, everyone ate until they were over full (we have some BIG eaters) and there was still plenty left over.

The accommodation rooms are very welcoming and spacious. We will definately be coming again!"

"Regular communication and touch-points made me confident my event would go off without a hitch - both Tamara and Michelle were very professional and catered to our every need. On the day, there wasn't a stand for my projector, however it was promptly collected for me without even having to ask.

Unfortunately there was a small mix up where members of our party were asked to pay for their own accommodation rooms, despite it already being pre-paid. Thankfully the issue was sorted out quickly and rectified without too much issue. Will hopefully be back mid next year!"

REVIEW: I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Novotel Northbeach...

"Gemma Vickery was exceptional. She was organised, very easy to work with and made the planning of our conference seamless and easy. Gemma was always willing to assist and was very patient with all the changes and requests over the months of planning. When she took a few days leave towards the end of our conference planning, Jessica stepped in. She was also fabulous. Thanks Gemma and Jessica.

The food was really nice - probably the best food we've had at a conference. The range of food at the buffet was great. The only thing missing for me was some natural muesli at breakfast but other than that, all our needs were met. The dinner at our Christmas function on the Saturday night was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were big enough to feed the men. Have also received positive feedback from everyone that attended!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Novotel Northbeach to any company looking for a conference venue in the future. The service, facilities, food and location were superb and the conference planning committee were outstanding - organised, professional and very easy to deal with. Thank you to all!!"
