Located on Melbourne's famous St Kilda Road boulevard and within easy walking distance of central Melbourne, the Arts Centre is living proof that business and entertainment do mix - with exciting results. This world renowned Centre for the performing and visual arts is home to a variety of outstanding spaces suited for meetings and events (and everything in between). With underground parking open 24 hours per day for over 850 cars (enter from Sturt Street) and every form of transport at its doors, it is easily accessible to all. The Arts Centre offers an exhilarating atmosphere and glamorous mix of culture, entertainment and performance.

There are 9 meeting and function spaces within the Arts Centre - The Pavilion being the premier function and event space. Floor-to-ceiling glass leads to a private balcony offering magnificent views of the city skyline, Federation Square, Alexandra and Queen Victoria Gardens. Internally, the domed ceiling finished in gold leaf is awe-inspiring.

The colour, spectacle and richness of the Arts Centre is brought to life in the Pavilion. A spacious foyer features iconic Australian artwork - ideal for pre/post-event canapes and drinks or registration. There is also a private meeting room, cloak facility and private balcony with wonderful garden aspect. The unique circular shape of the room providing unobstructed, pillar-free space, lending itself perfectly to cocktail parties, gala dinners... equally suited to presentations and conferences with full black-out capability. Immerse your guests in the glamour and excitement of Australia's pre-eminent performing arts precinct. 

Other spaces include the Amcor Lounge and Commonwealth Bank Lounge (neither of these featuring natural light), but boasting stunning, imaginative interiors - unique backlit walls of marbles creating an illusion of bubbles suspended in water. Specially designed, reflective coloured lighting gives added dimension. The Hugh Williamson Room and River Room are fantastic venues for more intimate gatherings or breakout sessions, with large windows overlooking the Yarra and individual decor. The Riverside Bar ideal for 80-150 guest cocktail events.

REVIEW: Could not do enough for us - particularly the IT/AV team with their extremely competitive pricing too...

"Although we've held other events at the Arts Centre over the years, this was the first conference of this kind, with a particularly strong focus on technology.  The event was great, with Arts Centre staff ensuring all went smoothly, particularly the AV/IT team - they could not do enough for us and their pricing was extremely competitive. Lots of feedback that the food was pretty yummy too!

The only criticism or recommendation I would have for future conferencing here, is that the standard morning and afternoon tea options seemed a little light on - given so many more delegates have more than one piece, either serving larger portions or being directed to the more generous menu selections would have been appreciated.  Or perhaps upgrading for an extra selection well worthwhile next time to ensure there would be plenty for everyone..."
